RAM is not only known for manufacturing some of the most durable, dominant looking trucks today, but the automaker is also known for its devotion to the younger population. For nearly thirty years, the automaker has sponsored $600,000 worth of scholarships to Future Farmers of America members throughout the United States. And, this year we are proud to say RAM will be awarding almost eighty scholarships.
Robert Hegbloom, Director of the Ram Truck Brand, shares the automaker's reasons for supporting the FFA, noting that, "Ram has supported the FFA for more than 60 years, as we understand the importance of providing opportunities for current and future leaders in agriculture. Ram Trucks fit the lifestyle and culture of FFA members, and we continue to work with our local dealerships to support and build our relationships with the organization."1
This year, more than six thousand FFA students applied for the RAM Truck scholarship, and those who were selected showed impressive leadership, involvement in the agricultural community, and merit. Those who received the scholarship will obtain their certificates from their local RAM dealership.
But, RAM takes their devotion to young people one step further by recently gave $1,000,000 to the National FFA Organization (its new official name) for congratulating them on exceeding the number of pledged views of its "Farmer" ad that aired during the Superbowl.
