Chrysler automakers have made some substantial moves over the last several years. The 2016 Chrysler 200 and 2016 Chrysler 300 continue to build upon the well received changes and styling upgrades with further refinement to the understated elegance of both vehicles.

But it seems that Chrysler automakers aren’t stopping at upgrading their vehicles, they’re upgrading everything, including giving dealership workers and their families a free ride to college.

The concept of paying for your employees’ schooling isn’t novel, but it’s usually reserved for higher level employees pursuing postgraduate degrees. Now, of course this doesn’t mean that any and every college is on the table. Chrysler has reached a deal with Strayer University. But nonetheless, tuition is free to all 118,000 Chrysler, Jeep Dodge, RAM, and FIAT dealership workers nationwide.

Part of this move is to benefit employees, another part is to benefit the effort to not only attract, but retain valuable dealership employees. "Our dealerships asked us for help. We think this program will help them attract the top talent around the nation and retain the best people," said John Fox, the Director of Dealer Training at Fiat Chrysler, according to CNN Money.

The offer ensures that employees and their families who attend college won’t have to front any cost for tuition and books. Additionally, they won’t have to take on any debt. Strayer is a good fit with Chrysler because “...we were looking for an expert in adult education, that offers flexibility for people who are already working full time," Fox said.

Students can enroll in classes both for on campus and online, and many of the classes will be tailored to work employees at the dealerships perform.
