One of our favorite new vehicles is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. With the advent of family-friendly SUVs and even crossover vehicles, there’s been less demand and more competition for the perfect minivan. While many of us may remember the days of long road trips, or even piling into a minivan after school on your way to your friend’s house fondly, the minivan has taken a back seat in recent years as the preferred method for such travel. However, that’s about to change with the new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.
Upon first glance, the Pacifica bears a striking resemblance to that of the 2016 Chrysler 200. Only it’s bigger. The front fascia sports the two grilles and slanted headlights that we’ve seen before. The rear features a large windshield that stands upright, offering great visibility. And the overall body is slim and slender for a minivan. The Pacifica is largely made of lighter-weight materials that knock off 250 pounds from the previous 2016 Chrysler Town & Country.
The Pacifica family includes five trims: the LX, Touring, Touring-L, Touring-L Plus, and Limited. Currently, each model is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that puts out 287 horsepower and 252 lb-ft or torque. A hybrid version is on its way, though. But the engine isn’t what draws us to the Pacifica. It’s the fact that the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has over 100 standard and optional features. And these features encompass everything from safety to entertainment. From dual touchscreens for the kids to a built-in vacuum cleaner for the parents, the only way to truly experience the Pacifica is by driving it.
