The 2016 Jeep® Renegade is one of our favorite compact crossovers here at A. M. Maus and Son. It, like other models such as the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, exhibits a unique style, outstanding performance, and unrivaled practicality. Currently, this five-passenger subcompact crossover SUV is available in four trims: the Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. Each trim exhibits plenty of character and handling prowess, making it a blast to drive while offering many practical components which make it a great everyday vehicle.

It appears that the good times are about to keep on rolling in the coming months. Just ahead of the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show next week, Jeep automakers have already revealed two new special edition Jeep Renegade models. The two models are named the Jeep Renegade Deserthawk, and the Altitude.

The first, the Deserthawk, is essentially a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk model with some desert themes. It sports an exclusive paint color known as Mojave sand, has large black painted wheels, unique body panel decals, rock rails, and comes with equipment for trailering. As far as engines go, it should get the same engine as the Trailhawk, which has a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque.

The second model takes its cues from the Jeep Renegade Latitude. The Altitude special edition sports an all black motif with metallic accents that gives the Jeep Renegade a mysterious edge. This model is available in two engine options, the standard 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque and the larger 2.4-liter engine.

The Jeep Renegade Deserthawk comes out in January while those who like the all black Jeep Renegade Altitude will be able to put in for one later this November.
