The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently did another round of tests and the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica lived up to standards. The minivan was awarded the Top Safety Pick+, which is the highest rank the IIHS has. By earning this prestigious and much sought after award, the Chrysler Pacifica has shown it will operate properly in all manner of accidents and is fully equipped to utilize a proper emergency braking system.
It should be noted that the award only applies to Chrysler Pacifica models manufactured after August 2016. This is largely due to one of the IIHS’ newest tests known as the small overlap test.
