The Los Angeles Auto show is still about four months away, and so is the official reveal of the upcoming 2018 Jeep® Wrangler. However, dedicated Jeep Wrangler fans have been able to unearth some amazing details about the next model that make it worth the wait. And for purists of the beloved 4x4 SUV, the news is sure to please. Contact our Dodge and Jeep dealership to learn more.
The biggest detail that’s been leaked is the introduction of a full-time 4WD system called the Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system. The only caveat here is that it’s only going to be available as an optional choice on the 2018 four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara model. All other models will still offer the familiar transfer case and operate as a rear-wheel drive model by default. But if you’re a Jeep Wrangler fan in the Kimball, MN area who’s looking for a top-of-the-line four-door off-road beast, it doesn’t get any better than the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara coming our way.
Those looking for a new Jeep SUV for sale near St. Cloud will also have simpler trim options to choose from when looking at the 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The two-door models will be offered in two trims, the Jeep Wrangler Sport and Rubicon. While some may not like fewer options, for many it can simplify the buying process. But trim isn't the only area that you can mix and match what you want in your 2018 Jeep Wrangler, as there are plenty of roof options to choose from. There’s the tried-and-true black three-piece hard top and body colored option, which is great for staying warm during Minnesota winters. You can upgrade to a premium Sunrider soft top in black or tan, or choose between the regular soft top and power sun top.
Three powerhouse options will also be available. We start with a base 2.0-liter inline-four engine, moving up is the 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 powertrain, and finally, the 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine.
Overall, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will share a lot of attributes with the current 2017 Jeep Wrangler, but adds enough to the lineup to make it definitely worth consideration, including the long-awaited Jeep Wrangler pickup model.
