The new 2017 Jeep Compass takes the place of both the previous Jeep Compass and the Jeep Patriot. In the Jeep SUV family, it sits between the Jeep Renegade and the Jeep Cherokee as a compact SUV. Its looks resemble a somewhat smaller Jeep Grand Cherokee thanks to its sleek front end design.
This small SUV is available with a nine-speed or six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. There’s one engine available which is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that is capable of producing 180 horsepower and 175 lb.-ft. of torque.
The big thing with the new 2017 Jeep Compass is that it’s almost a different vehicle entirely from its predecessor. And that’s evident in the makeup of the vehicle. This new SUV features revised suspension tuning which greatly improves handling while driving, a simplified powertrain, and a stronger chassis.

The 2017 Jeep Compass comes with four trim options starting with the 2017 Jeep Compass Sport.
