The current 2018 Jeep® Cherokee embodies roughly the same look that the model has featured since the new generation debuted back in 2014. In the automotive world, that can easily be considered a long time. Which is why it’s no surprise that this crossover SUV is about to get a refresh with the upcoming 2019 Jeep Cherokee.

Recent spy photos of the Jeep Cherokee have surfaced, which give us a relatively good look at the new 2019 Jeep Cherokee. What’s most interesting is that it seems that the new design takes a more traditional turn, giving us a Jeep SUV that bears more resemblance to what we’re used to rather than something entirely new.

From what we’ve been able to see here at A. M. Maus and Son, the new Jeep Cherokee is taking a lot of design cues from the 2018 Jeep Compass. Two big things to note here in terms of design are in the iconic grille and the lights. The grille and front fascia lose the center crease and instead adopt a more traditional blunt, or flat appearance. In addition, the daytime driving lights, headlights, and turn signals are all part of one unit rather than separated.

However, as far as everything else goes, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of change. The overall body is mostly unchanged and the interior is expected to get a minor refresh as well. Though we’re not getting a complete overhaul in terms of looks, what is changed has a rather large impact. And as your Kimball, MN Jeep dealership, we think that it will be a hit amongst long time Jeep SUV fans. If you weren’t so much a fan of the recent design which featured a more angular and narrow front fascia we think you’ll love the return to tradition in the upcoming 2019 Jeep Cherokee.

While no word on an official release date is yet stated, we expect to learn more about those details as soon as the Detroit Auto Show in January.
