It’s that time of year again when details of new Jeep® models leak a little bit ahead of their official debut. As we prepare to transition from the 2017 Jeep Wrangler to the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, the more and more information seem to come our way. Here at A. M. Maus and Son, we’re doing our best to keeping all our Jeep brand fans informed.

The latest information reportedly comes from a leaked 2018 Jeep Wrangler owner’s manual. While none of the information is official, as the Jeep Wrangler isn’t set to officially debut until the Los Angeles auto show in December, the information is usually fairly accurate.

In addition to your choice between the Sunrider® removable soft top and a three-piece Freedom hardtop is a new power-sliding top. According to rumors, this top is not removable but could be an enticing addition, especially for our drivers who deal with winter conditions half the year.

If you want to strip down your new Jeep Wrangler even further, the new windshield can be folded down. The process involves removing protective caps, taking off the wipers, and removing a couple screws. While it’s not as convenient as a power-folding top, it’s a nice touch.

As far as power is concerned, it seems that you can get either a 2.0-liter or 3.6-liter engine. Further good news for diehard Jeep Wrangler fans is the available six-speed manual transmission that is available on the larger engine. An eight-speed automatic transmission will be available for both engines.
