For years RAM has proven its commitment to its truck enthusiasts by offering numerous reliable options to ensure consumers are getting the jobs that they need done with high level consumer satisfaction. With that being said possible issues always come up, and as part of the automaker’s commitment it is RAM’s duty to inform RAM truck owners.
And, recently a possible issue has developed as the Chrysler Group has discovered that numerous pickups, including the RAM 1500, 2500, and 3500 have steering-system tie rods that might not have been properly aligned during assembly. Unfortunately, the misalignment has the possibility of resulting in the loss of directional stability on the left hand front wheel.
This a concern that Chrysler and RAM are spending all of their efforts of fixing quickly and efficiently. The models in question are the 2003 to 2008 RAM 2500 and 3500 trucks. However, RAM has announced that if you have a 2008 to 2012 RAM truck whether it be a 1500 or 5500 they would like to take a look at it to ensure you are safe, and the tie rods are properly aligned.
RAM owners who are impacted by this should expect to be receiving a letter from RAM in the mail soon. The letter will include instructions on how to make a service and repair appointment to fix the issue at your local RAM dealership like A.M. Maus and Son.
If you find yourself with any lingering questions please feel free to contact us here at A.M. Maus and Son in Kimball, MN. We would be delighted to help you through the process.
Our hope is that this issue will be resolved quickly and smoothly. We want to reiterate that each and every new RAM truck is held to very high standards as RAM is committed to upholding their reputation of trust and dependability.
