A.M. Maus and Sons are the leading dealer of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep® and RAM brand vehicles in Kimball, MN. One of the many questions our customers ask us is the differences between buying and leasing a car. In this blog, we’ll help you discern which might be right for you.
Buying or leasing? There are two different options for car ownership, and plenty of our customers that come into our Kimball Dodge dealership are often left on their own to discern the difference. Buying and leasing are both very different processes. Buying is considered the traditional form of car ownership, where you set up a car loan and pay the vehicle off over time. While car buying can be a little expensive, you aren’t limited to what you can do with your car. Regardless if you want to drive cross country or add modifications to your vehicle, you aren’t constrained by the dealership.
Alternatively, leasing is cheaper by comparison. When you lease a car you pay less, however, aren’t given the same freedom as you would when buying the car. Typically, those who opt for a car lease are constrained regarding how many miles they can put on the car, may have to pay for any dings to the vehicle, and will have to return the car once the lease is finally up.
Leasing and buying are very different; however, one isn’t better than the other. In truth, it all depends on what you’re looking to do with your vehicle. At A. M. Maus and Sons we can help you determine whether leasing or buying one of our Chrysler cars is best for you. Our sales staff can help you leave our lot driving the car of your dreams.
